Anatomical Venus

Material and technique: digital print and laser engraving on plexiglass, 12 panels
Dimensions: scale model 21.5 × 9.2 × 9.2 cm, scale 1:13; proposed dimensions of the spatial installation: 280 × 120 × 120 cm (H × W × D)

The project connects art and anatomy, exploring the cultural meaning of medical images of the body. Anatomical Venus reinterprets the female body by combining external morphology and internal anatomy into a fragmented, layered figure. Transparency and light transform scientific imagery into a poetic reflection on vulnerability, transience, gender and identity.
